Getting tattooed in Hoi An: good to know
- An Bang Beach is only a few kilometres from the Old Town. Same rule as anywhere by the sea: no swimming until the tattoo has healed.
- October and November are flood season, and water can fill the Old Town streets. Floodwater is dirty: keep a fresh tattoo away from it, and if it gets wet, wash it right away with clean water and soap.
- Cycling in the heat means sweat: wear a loose sleeve and rinse the tattoo gently when you get back.

Aftercare
Rinse gently with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap, pat dry and apply a thin layer of cream. No sea, no pools and no direct sun until it heals, usually 2–4 weeks.
